The Ox’s name can always be found on wall plaques honoring the “Employee of the Month.” Once called the Water Buffalo, the second sign of the Zodiac is responsible, honest and hard-working. He is patient, strong and detailed-oriented; traits that have merit in many vocations. This certainly doesn’t restrict the Ox to jobs of drudgery. Despite his plain appearance and introverted demeanor, he is a natural-born leader and an eloquent speaker. The combination of his low-key intellect and perseverance frequently results in prosperity.
The trustworthy and traditional Ox makes a good solid mate, but he doesn’t have a romantic bone in his body. He is generally a fair individual, although once he has made up his mind about something, it is difficult to change it. This can be attributed to loyalty, stubbornness or outright prejudice. It is tough to anger the easy-going Ox, but those who do will feel his wrath.
The Ox will feel most comfortable with the Rat, Snake and Rooster, but does not enjoy the company of the Tiger, Horse, Sheep and Dog.
